Well, my dream of chasing the riches with oil trades ended in disaster, as the 12th Series of fun bets ended at 1089 pounds in the red. Things really turned nasty this week, as I lost the footing in a fast trending market, trying to scalp up and down, and got heavily punished and then the mind got a bit jammed into a losing boxer with blood over the eyes sort of mentality, lol. It all went very bad since I fatally cashed in that long at 9966, the best position to benefit full from this trendy run. Well, I have to say it turned really nasty. Now need some time to recover and regain my composure and will be focusing on ftse trades for the 13th Series.
There is a silver lining to every dark cloud. This week, our MF turned in a stellar trading performance by doubling his money on Thorntons. How sweet that victory is! Still searching for that purple run. Had a hit and miss sort of week again and the fun bet series is still just over 500 quid in red (was improving to under 400 quid in the red, then
it went pear-shaped again). Oil trading is fascinating though, it is rather a mechanical process, with every human-ness punished, like impatience, guessing, etc. It is just so programmed that I am still very keen on trading oil to riches, lol.

"Sometimes you can only laugh at the fairness in life. After several years studying the markets, I am quite sure from time to time I can see the future, fairly accurately, too!
But somehow, there seems to be a cunning logic in there that if you can see into the future, then you may not be able to cash in on that insight. Alas, why allow me to peep into the future while not allowing me to make some good money out of it! I can only laught with bursts of tears, no sadness at heart, plenty of torments between joy and pain in my
soul.
I had the perfect map for Friday in the morning studies and we had the perfect upstream mooriver to be crossed from the lowerbank to the upperbank. But a jittery moment
on the observation of oil (which was correct, but didn't impact on ftse in the same way) pushed me to jump out of the best-priced long on ftse into a stupidified short. The rest is history and the fun bets are now 568 quid in the red.
While there is a block between the mooriverwatcher and moorivertrader, there are two rules which I must stick to, no open positions on oil (meaning either no positions or no unlocked positions) before the oil inventory news on Wednesday and same applies to all major news event, like the non-farm payroll. I seem to have this gambler's streak in daring these major newsflow and try to grab a piece of the thrill in beating the markets in a big way, well, it often turns out to be the wrong way.
In terms of trading, ideally, should trade the perfect moorivers whenever available. But I am going to give the oil trades a bit more time, as by trading oil, I was becoming really flexible both ways and nimbler than before. It seems that trading indices often links one's perceptions about reality while trading something like oil is just pure technical trading, which is what trading ought to be, really. I believe I have got the mooriver map for oil for February and beyond, so I will trade oil for the coming week with the occasional ftse trades when there is a good crossing opportunity there like Friday.

"Well, it has been a miserable week. The potential of oil trading is so obvious and for the first two days, could have made so much more money on the fun bets. But alas, in this spreadbetting game, the key is not about winning money, but about not losing big on mistakes and a tiny breach on a stoploss triggered a series of wrong decisions on the oil trades. And the fun bets ended on 376 quid in the red. Still, I am going to experiment with the combo of ftse and oil trades, avoiding ftse on Tuesdays and oil on Wednesdays--the two most lethal days for these two markets respectively.
Our MF is sticking to his recovery plays and sending me the timely alerts, which are very much appreciated. Our J is still keeping an eye on the Bradley turndates for us all. But I am going to award our MS as the Mootrader of the Week, as he has stormed back from holidays to grab some good money on the markets. Well done, MS, and welcome back.

Ended the week on a nice oil short, which set my pulse racing for the Black Beauty. I am going to give the oil trades a go for the coming week and see how it pans out. With oil trades, must use guaranteed stoploss either way, to be on the safe side. I am looking forward to the coming week with a thumping heart. Overall, still got stuck in the mud with index trading, which caused the fun bet series to be stuck in the red for £265. But if you can trade oil, trade well, then things could be turned around fairly quickly. I have got the mooriver map laid out for oil for the coming week and let's wait and see how it pans out.
I have to say our MF has got onto the moostar podium again. His recovery share play is working out very well for him (e.g., JJB and HMV etc). I am thinking of devoting a small fund to his recovery plays. I wasn't sure whether you folks would be interested in such plays, but I might pass on his alerts now, for you to consider in your own terms. So well done, MF, you are our moostar of the week.

Well, we had a funny sort of week as I took some time to settle back into trading after the break. In the end, the 11th Series of fun bets ended on £678 in profit over a duration of two months. After the exciting 9th Series ending over 1000 pounds in profit and a disastrous 10th Series deeply in red, this is normality returned. The simplified trading system has worked to a reasonable level of satisfaction, as it reduces market noises and human greed by a large extent. Still some tinkering to be done, but this simplified version of Moorivertrading System should deliver the 1000 pounds profit per series from here onwards. I hope so, anyway.

Well, my dream of chasing the riches with oil trades ended in disaster, as the 12th Series of fun bets ended at 1089 pounds in the red. Things really turned nasty this week, as I lost the footing in a fast trending market, trying to scalp up and down, and got heavily punished and then the mind got a bit jammed into a losing boxer with blood over the eyes sort of mentality, lol. It all went very bad since I fatally cashed in that long at 9966, the best position to benefit full from this trendy run. Well, I have to say it turned really nasty. Now need some time to recover and regain my composure and will be focusing on ftse trades for the 13th Series.
There is a silver lining to every dark cloud. This week, our MF turned in a stellar trading performance by doubling his money on Thorntons. How sweet that victory is! Still searching for that purple run. Had a hit and miss sort of week again and the fun bet series is still just over 500 quid in red (was improving to under 400 quid in the red, then
it went pear-shaped again). Oil trading is fascinating though, it is rather a mechanical process, with every human-ness punished, like impatience, guessing, etc. It is just so programmed that I am still very keen on trading oil to riches, lol.
There is one piece of good news this morning, as I realised that I can now send the charts in the messages again. It has been a pain to do it as attachment. Well, there is a silver lining to every cloud.

"Sometimes you can only laugh at the fairness in life. After several years studying the markets, I am quite sure from time to time I can see the future, fairly accurately, too!
But somehow, there seems to be a cunning logic in there that if you can see into the future, then you may not be able to cash in on that insight. Alas, why allow me to peep into the future while not allowing me to make some good money out of it! I can only laught with bursts of tears, no sadness at heart, plenty of torments between joy and pain in my
soul.
I had the perfect map for Friday in the morning studies and we had the perfect upstream mooriver to be crossed from the lowerbank to the upperbank. But a jittery moment
on the observation of oil (which was correct, but didn't impact on ftse in the same way) pushed me to jump out of the best-priced long on ftse into a stupidified short. The rest is history and the fun bets are now 568 quid in the red.
While there is a block between the mooriverwatcher and moorivertrader, there are two rules which I must stick to, no open positions on oil (meaning either no positions or no unlocked positions) before the oil inventory news on Wednesday and same applies to all major news event, like the non-farm payroll. I seem to have this gambler's streak in daring these major newsflow and try to grab a piece of the thrill in beating the markets in a big way, well, it often turns out to be the wrong way.
In terms of trading, ideally, should trade the perfect moorivers whenever available. But I am going to give the oil trades a bit more time, as by trading oil, I was becoming really flexible both ways and nimbler than before. It seems that trading indices often links one's perceptions about reality while trading something like oil is just pure technical trading, which is what trading ought to be, really. I believe I have got the mooriver map for oil for February and beyond, so I will trade oil for the coming week with the occasional ftse trades when there is a good crossing opportunity there like Friday.

"Well, it has been a miserable week. The potential of oil trading is so obvious and for the first two days, could have made so much more money on the fun bets. But alas, in this spreadbetting game, the key is not about winning money, but about not losing big on mistakes and a tiny breach on a stoploss triggered a series of wrong decisions on the oil trades. And the fun bets ended on 376 quid in the red. Still, I am going to experiment with the combo of ftse and oil trades, avoiding ftse on Tuesdays and oil on Wednesdays--the two most lethal days for these two markets respectively.
Our MF is sticking to his recovery plays and sending me the timely alerts, which are very much appreciated. Our J is still keeping an eye on the Bradley turndates for us all. Ended the week on a nice oil short, which set my pulse racing for the Black Beauty. I am going to give the oil trades a go for the coming week and see how it pans out. With oil trades, must use guaranteed stoploss either way, to be on the safe side. I am looking forward to the coming week with a thumping heart. Overall, still got stuck in the mud with index trading, which caused the fun bet series to be stuck in the red for £265. But if you can trade oil, trade well, then things could be turned around fairly quickly. I have got the mooriver map laid out for oil for the coming week and let's wait and see how it pans out.
I have to say our MF has got onto the moostar podium again. His recovery share play is working out very well for him (e.g., JJB and HMV etc). I am thinking of devoting a small fund to his recovery plays. Well, we had a funny sort of week as I took some time to settle back into trading after the break. In the end, the 11th Series of fun bets ended on £678 in profit over a duration of two months. After the exciting 9th Series ending over 1000 pounds in profit and a disastrous 10th Series deeply in red, this is normality returned. The simplified trading system has worked to a reasonable level of satisfaction, as it reduces market noises and human greed by a large extent. Still some tinkering to be done, but this simplified version of Moorivertrading System should deliver the 1000 pounds profit per series from here onwards. I hope so, anyway.
I am awarding our MS as the moostar trader of the week, as he had a good run on suk2, after his holidays. Welcome back, mate, well done.
