The Moo River has spoken to me recently as follows:
2019 will be a drastic year, where we will be falling quarter after quarter, with things everywhere get worse and worse, until we hit rock bottom in Q4.
The target for FTSE100 is 5000ish.
At the moment, we are enjoying this small Christmas rally again, perhaps into January 2019, towards 7500ish target area.
The two interesting instruments to short or long FTSE100 are UK3S to short and UK3L to go long, both decent with plenty of power without the leveraging risks.
It is also possible that cryptocurrencies will take off again in 2019. Two interesting instruments here without going in the deep end of spreadbetting and CFD's are XBT PROVIDER AB BITCOIN TRACKER ONE (BIT-XBT) and XBT PROVIDER AB BITCOIN TRACKER EUR (BIT-XBTE), both available on HL.
